Notes

How to Serve Amish Sloppy Joes
Amish Sloppy Joes are best served warm right off the skillet. Pair them with potato chips or a side salad for a complete meal. They also make great leftovers, so don’t be shy about making extra!
How to Store Amish Sloppy Joes
Store any leftover Amish Sloppy Joes in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will keep well for about 3 to 4 days. To reheat, simply warm in a skillet or microwave until heated through.
Tips to Make Amish Sloppy Joes
  • For a spicy kick, add some chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the mixture.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, let it simmer a little longer until it reaches the desired consistency.
  • Use whole grain buns for a healthier alternative.
Variation
You can easily make this recipe with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version. Feel free to add different veggies like diced carrots or corn for added flavor!
