Add the melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix everything well.
Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead it for about 8-10 minutes until it feels smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
Once it has risen, punch down the dough gently. Divide it into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball.
Place the balls on a greased baking sheet or in a 9×13 inch baking dish. Cover them and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
