Hot Fudge Pie
Hot Fudge Pie is one of those desserts that you simply cannot resist! It’s rich, chocolatey, and incredibly easy to whip up. Perfect for family gatherings or a cozy night in, this pie is pure comfort food.
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips optional
- Powdered sugar or whipped cream for garnish
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or line it with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until everything is fully combined and smooth. If you like, fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips too!
Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish and smooth the top. Bake it in the oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey.
Let the pie cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Serve it warm, topped with powdered sugar, whipped cream, or even a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
How to Serve Hot Fudge Pie
Serve your Hot Fudge Pie warm, right out of the oven. It’s great on its own, but adding some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream takes it to the next level.
How to Store Hot Fudge Pie
If you have any leftovers (which is rare!), you can store them in the fridge. Cover the pie with plastic wrap or transfer it to an airtight container. It will keep well for about 3 days.
Tips to Make Hot Fudge Pie
-
- For a fudgier texture, slightly underbake the pie.
-
- Let the pie rest for a few minutes before cutting into it; this helps it hold its shape.
-
- Don’t skip the garnish! A sprinkle of powdered sugar or a dollop of whipped cream makes it extra special.
Variation
Feel free to add nuts like walnuts or pecans for added crunch! You can also use milk chocolate chips for a sweeter pie.
